We believe that parents are the primary educators of their children. We recognize that parent involvement in education has a distinctly positive and crucial effect on the quality of education.
The vast majority of ACS’s parents take advantage of the many different volunteer opportunities at the school. As active participants in the educational process, parents build and strengthen the school community.
ACS identifies that a child’s parents are his/her primary educators and examples. In keeping with this fact, every effort is made to include parents in their child’s formal education by way of communicating ongoing Parent Association service opportunities.
The primary role of the ACS Parent Association is to assist and support the school in organizing, coordinating, and implementing school activities, projects, events, and fund-raising projects.
The secondary role of the ACS Parent Association is to bring school families closer together in a Classical environment through social, educational, and community events. The ACS Parent Association aims to foster a spirit of working out of service to the community, each other and their neighbor, and to bolster the strength of the family unit as a whole.
Parents are absolutely encouraged to channel their time and talents. For more information, please contact the school administrator Mrs Williams (firstname.lastname@example.org).
